Who We Are
Shivat Haminim שבעת המינים Farm is an inclusive handicap assessible farm created to enhance the lives of special needs individuals through fun occupational activities with nature, teaching about healthy lifestyle choices and community.
Our farm is nestled in the rolling hills of Yavniel in northern Israel right near the Kinneret lake. On it we grow fruits and vegetables for everyday life. Different herbs and trees are grown as well to turn into natural products and sold to profit the farm.

Volunteering
We need your help! Come visit and bring your energy and creativity!
The farm will be a center for people of all abilities to come enjoy nature and be occupied with healthy fun activities and jobs in a safe environment. Bring yourself, your special needs friend, and visitors to Israel for a special experience.
Donating
Lots of opportunities. Currently we need donations towards accessible gardens, an accessible vehicle and a greenhouse.
There will be special wheelchair accessible gardens built with raised beds and smooth paths. For example permaculture style keyhole gardens, which are in the shape of a circle with a path going to the middle. Another one called a spiral garden with a compacted path for wheelchairs as well and in the middle. These gardens along with the trees and other growing methods will provide occupation for everybody including people in wheel chairs with limited mobility. Working with earth creates healthy sensory stimulation and is a great way to calm energy. It also has positive correlation with balancing moods and happiness.

Teaching sustainability and healing developed specifically for the special needs of our community.
Healing and balancing the mind, connecting to nature, growing and eating healthy food, learning how to live with the resources around us. These things all are amazing and joyful experiences that create a better life, for anyone - special needs or not. Come out and see what you can add.
